服部織物×GENETO
京都・西陣の老舗の帯メーカー「服部織物株式会社」と建築から家具の設計デザインまで幅広く行う「GENETO」によって新たなライフスタイルを提案するプロジェクトを立ち上げました。どちらも京都を拠点にしながらも全国で展開している共通点を持ちます。 服部織物がもつ220年以上の歴史、伝統、培ってきた技術とGENETOによるコンテンポラリーなアプローチのデザインにより、伝統と近代を融合したアイテムを提案するプロジェクトです。
A project that proposes a new lifestyle is being launched by long-established obi manufacturer “HATTORI Orimono (textile), Inc” from Nishijin, Kyoto and “GENETO”, undertaking not only the construction of buildings but the design of furniture as well. These two share a common goal as they both intend to expand their businesses throughout Japan with Kyoto as its base. It is a project that proposes to introduce items that are modern and integrated with tradition, combining GENETO’s contemporary approached to design and Hattori’s manufacturing skills which have been maintained for over 220 years.
